Booking your first physiotherapy session can feel a little uncertain if you've never been before. Knowing what to expect makes the visit smoother โ€” and helps you get the most out of it.

A thorough assessment comes first. Your physiotherapist will ask about your symptoms, daily activities, medical history and goals. This conversation is just as important as the physical exam, so be open about how the problem affects your life.

Then comes the physical evaluation. We assess your posture, joint range of motion, muscle strength and movement patterns to pinpoint the true source of your pain โ€” which is often different from where you feel it.

Next, a personalised plan. Based on the findings, your physiotherapist explains the diagnosis in plain language and designs a treatment plan tailored to you. You'll usually begin some hands-on therapy and gentle exercises in the very first session.

How to prepare: wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring any relevant reports โ€” prescriptions, surgical summaries, or MRI/X-ray films. No doctor's referral is needed to consult us.

After the session, you may be given a few simple home exercises. Doing them consistently between visits is one of the biggest factors in how quickly you recover. If anything feels unclear, just ask โ€” understanding your own recovery is part of the treatment.
